Who are Joown?

Joown is a talented bunch of property and technical experts who are on a mission to change the way anyone can invest in property.

Mike Georgeson, our co-founder, has over 25 years experience of managing both properties and technical teams.

Paul Ballard, our other co-founder, has over 20 years experience of developing web systems for the likes of WeBuyAnyCar, Kelloggs, the NHS, Iceland and Vimto.

What does Joown do?

Joown is a marketplace that lets you invest in rental properties with only £1000. We're on a mission to help everyone invest in rental property.

How does Joown make money?

We make money via the following ways:

3% listing fee on each property. This fee is paid out once the property is completed and the deed is transferred to the new Ltd Company.

3% of gross monthly rent. We charge an annual platform fee of 3% of the gross rent received which covers our cost of running the platform and maintaining the platform.

We do not charge any platform fee while the property is vacant and we do not charge a fee to you upon the sale of your share.

Where does the name Joown come from?

We smashed JOint and OWNership together.

We've pioneered the term Joint Ownership which is new way for anyone to access property investing.

How does Joown work?

Our proprietary A.I. scours online listings and our databases to highlight potential high-yielding properties.

We then independently assess, survey and verify the best of these to bring you high-quality, high-yielding tenanted properties.

What will I actually own?

When you invest through Joown, your investment in property is made through a UK Limited Company called a Special Purpose Vehicle (“SPV”), which is established specifically for purchasing and holding the property.

You own ordinary shares in the SPV that holds legal title to the property you have invested in..

What am I buying?

You are buying one, or more, ordinary share(s) in an SPV (Limited Company) that owns 100% of a specific property.
